What this directory is

Perth Early Learning Guide lists 130 child care agency businesses across Perth Metropolitan. It exists for parents and carers who need to compare providers quickly: centre types, areas covered, how each business is run day to day, and how it stacks up against the others on the same street or suburb. We built it as a starting point for families narrowing down a shortlist, not as the final word on any one service.

Where the information comes from

Every listing draws on public business data (registration details, service areas, hours, contact information) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead we read the pattern of recent feedback and summarise what it tends to say, then link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we hold on each business. That means scores are earned from facts and review sentiment only. Full detail on what we measure and how it’s weighted is set out on our methodology page, so anyone can check how a business landed where it did.

A listed business can ask us to correct its own facts (a wrong phone number, an outdated address, a service it no longer offers) and we welcome those corrections. What it cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those are calculated the same way for every business on the directory.

Sponsorship, kept separate

Some pages carry a sponsored placement. It’s always labelled “Sponsored”, displayed separately from the earned rankings, and never allowed to move a business up or down the actual ranking order. Paying for visibility buys placement, not a better score.

Enquiries and referrals

Perth Early Learning Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for doing so. Those referral arrangements never touch the scores or rankings published on the site. The quote page spells this out in full before you submit anything.

Who publishes it

This directory is published by Scout Local Media, an independent Australian publisher that’s been building local guides and business directories since 2026. Scout Local Media’s focus is helping people find local businesses they can trust, while giving good operators a clearer way to be found online. Keeping it current

We refresh the underlying data monthly. Individual listings also carry a “last verified” stamp so you can see at a glance when that specific business record was last checked, rather than assuming the whole directory was updated at once.
